Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter

The guided wave radar emits high-frequency microwave pulses that propagate along a probe element (steel cable or rod). When the pulses reach the measured medium, a sudden change in dielectric constant causes part of the signal energy to be reflected back. The time interval between the transmitted and reflected pulses is proportional to the distance to the medium surface.
