Top-Mount Magnetic Flap Level Gauge

Top-mounted magnetic flap level indicators operate on buoyancy and magnetic coupling principles: a float containing a permanent magnet moves vertically inside a guide chamber as the tank level changes; this motion—transmitted via a connecting rod—shifts the internal magnet, whose field penetrates the chamber wall to flip red/white magnetic vanes in the external indicator panel by 180° (white to red on rising level, red to white on falling). The interface between red and white marks the true liquid level. Designed for tanks where side mounting is impractical (e.g., underground storage), they support integration with reed-chain or magnetostrictive transmitters for remote signaling and automated control.
