Bimetallic Thermometer
The universal-type bimetallic thermometer is an industrial temperature instrument that uses a coiled bimetallic strip—composed of multiple layers of metals with different thermal expansion coefficients—to drive a pointer via heat-induced bending, offering a measurement range from –80 °C to 500 °C. Its head connects to the protective sheath via a universal joint, enabling at least 120° of angular adjustment for optimal readability in complex installations, and it achieves IP65 protection. Available in accuracy classes of 1.0 and 1.5, it features a thermal response time ≤40 seconds, with sheath materials including 304, 316L stainless steel, and Hastelloy; installation options include fixed flanges or compression fittings, and probe lengths are customizable from 75 mm to 1000 mm, making it suitable for steam lines, flues, and similar applications in petrochemical and power/metallurgy industries.
