Insertion Type Vortex Flow Meter
Insertion-type vortex flow meters consist of a pressure sensor, measurement circuitry, and process connection components; in domestic small-scale automation systems, they often employ piezoresistive sensing—where pressure-induced resistance changes in a silicon chip are amplified and calibrated to detect pressure; differential pressure between process and reference sides deforms a micromachined silicon diaphragm (displacement in micrometers), unbalancing a full-bridge Wheatstone circuit to generate an mV-level voltage proportional to pressure; this signal is processed by a high-gain, temperature-drift-compensated differential amplifier, then converted to a current signal and linearized to produce a standard output linearly corresponding to the input pressure.
